I would just like to thank everyone on the UK BMW GS forum some really useful information about Morocco. I only wish we had found the site earlier.

Just been checking the weather forecast - most of Spain looks ok, average of 23 degrees and mixture of sunshine and rain, but Morocco looks fantastic - average of 27 degrees and sunshine all the way....beats the torrential rain outside my window in Surrey!

Just been reading the Nick Sanders exploits in this weeks supplement in MCN where he took a group of bikers from Portugal to Timbuktu - looks pretty amazing - wonder how much time we'd need to add on?! Hmmmm.

Been preparing the 1200GS for the trip today, running sweetly now with a Remus end can, which also gives it a bit more oomph. Starting to get the packing ready too - the trick is not to take too much of course - although i'm not quite sure about the Nick Sanders philosophy of "toothbrush only".

Here's a picture of me on my GSXR750 rounding Clearways at Brands Hatch.

I had a great day at Goodwood yesterday. I had problems with the noise restictions. I started off at 105db. Goodwood is very strict and will not allow you on if you are over 98db. I went into Chichester and found a car repair shop that added the extra silencer to the exhaust. This reduced it to 103db. I then went back into Chichester and bought some wire wool which I packed into the silencer and got it down to 98db. Finally got onto the track and had a great time. At one time I went off at Lavant and ended up in the gravel.
